Dear Ms.Galang and class 810,
We have had a lot of moments in Ela since the beginning of the year. We have learned many things like Nouns, verbs, pronouns etc. We have also learned how to take notes or to annotate articles to find the main ideas of paragraphs and use that to helps us to find the central idea of a whole article. But one of my favorite lessons that we did was the Romeo and Juliet unit. I liked this unit because we did many things like read the play and take notes on key parts if the play. We also used context clues to help us figure out what Shakespeare wrote so that we can understand the play. We also got assigned a role in Romeo and Juliet and acted in a class play of Romeo and Juliet.

Another one of my favorite unit was the poetry unit. I was fond of this unit because I learned many new genres of poetry. We also learned why they are different and a deeper meaning to the poems. We also got a chance to try each of the genres. My favorite genre of poetry was the Shakespearian sonnet because of how hard it is to follow the guidelines and they pay off when you finished your sonnet.
